October 19 Best Hike Ever by wmabbott
My wife and I just did the 5 mile hike to the Hike Len Foote Inn. It was great, we enjoyed it as much as our recent trip to the Grand Cayon. Great views, wonderful staff, and a moderate hike. We are in our early 60s and found most people hiking there were near our age group (40s to late 60s ). We had no problem doing it in about 4 hours. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. We recommend it to everyone.
August 3
This was one of the best campgrounds that I have visited in my life. I have traveled all over the world and this has been definitly one of the best places we have tented. Amazing waterfall that you can actually touch and so may beautiful activities that you can experience. I would recomend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice and quiet place to just sit back and relax the loving nature. There are other places you can stay at such as the log if you are not the type to tent.
June 8 A great Georgia asset by georgiascotsman
A great place to experience, it is only an hour and a half north of Atlanta. Anyone would enjoy this beautiful state park. It is well kept, yet not overly touristy. Accessible to young or old, families, couples or singles - this is a park not to miss. The falls are a wonderful asset and an obvious drawing point. It is quite a hike from the parking lot. Take your time and enjoy the pathway as you wind yourway up the side of the mountain. (Perhaps the hike is one way of making us slow down to enjoy Mother Nature.) There are many other amenities which makes this park one a destination by choice. The lodge, above the upper falls, is a great place to stay, have a business retreat, meeting, dinner or drink, or simply look over the mountain. Several cabins are available for reservation, and various picnic sites are scattered throughout the park. I can see this park being busy on weekend, particularly on holidays. I would suggest taking a day in the middle of the week, to have a more secluded visit.
